From struggling and feeling insecure, to feeling strong and connected
I know how it feels, I have been there too. People didn't understand how I felt and I wasn't able to describe my symptoms.
Many times I wished people could crawl into my body to feel what I was feeling. So my friends would know exactly what I was going through or doctors would believe me instead of saying it's all in my head.
But as we all know, this isn't possible. That makes it hard and lonely sometimes. In my 5 years of recovery, I learned how to deal with my family and friends and how to explain my symptoms.
Because it isn't easy when your symptoms are not visible to other people, and you can’t explain them well. It feels like you’re the only one that is feeling those symptoms, and no one can see or confirm them.
Concussion recovery can be a dark place, and it can be easy to lose hope. But it’s so important to stay connected with family/friends so you wont' feel alone and get the support you deserve.
Together, we will get there.

I have been there. I became my own doctor and learned a lot during my years of recovery.
I have done all the research for you and condensed it into easy videos, audio files, or text.
That's my mission. I don’t want anyone to feel that lost and lonely as I did in my journey.
You don’t feel like the same person anymore, or you want to be the old person so badly, but you can’t because of your symptoms.
It feels like you’re the only one that is feeling those symptoms, and no one can see or confirm them.
I (Silvie) sustained a whiplash and concussion in May 2017. After struggling and feeling alone for years she discovered a new passion: helping others in their concussion journeys to feel less lost and alone. I have been there and learned a lot during my recovery. Now it's time to share it with you because I don't want you to feel that lost as I did.
